Michi created the topic: Changed behavior of the map during RV park search

Hello all,

we have changed the behavior of our map when searching for RV parks. Now the behavior is similar to Google Maps, which most users with mobile devices are probably already used to. The map must now be operated with two fingers (to move and zoom).

The advantage is that you no longer move the map unintentionally when scrolling and actually scroll the page instead.

In addition, a single tap or click in the map is now sufficient to trigger a proximity search at that location. We have thus aligned the behavior on the website with the behavior in our app. There, too, a single tap or click has always been sufficient to start a search.

For a certain transitional period, the previously used double tap or click will continue to work additionally, but at a later date we will remove this.

Please report any bugs or problems with the new behavior to us so that we can continue to provide you with the best website experience possible.

Kind regards
Michi

We have another news about the map control:

Club members can now turn on/off gesture and mouse control optimization for the map, as well as set whether zooming with the mouse wheel should work with or without the CTRL/CMD key.

Club members can find the new setting in their profile settings:

PROFILE -> Settings : Tab "Settings" -> Control "Map control optimization".

You can choose between
- no optimization
- full optimization
- optimization on, but zoom without CTRL/CMD key

Greetings, Michi
